Favourite books review
I have reevaluated my top reads last year and this is what I think:
1. Ishiguro Kazuo: Klara and the Sun
In this simple but moving narrative, Klara the robot embarks on a journey of exploration, this time focusing on the aspects of AI and how much it relates to human beings. Simple yet profound.
2. The Night Watchman by Lo haveuise Erdrich
Based around Erdrich's own grandfather, this novel vividly recreates the struggle and survival of the Native Americans in the 1950s.
3. Crying In H Mart by Michelle Zauner
A personal yet universal story of family, culture, and loss, revolving around the author's love for and the dynamic role of food in her life.
4. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Writing through the most amazing character of an astronaut, the book engraves the mission of saving the planet, bringing in humor, thrill, and friendship.
5. Beautiful World, Where Are You – Sally Rooney
Capturing the modern dilemma of attempting and often failing to find connection and meaning in friendships and love.
---
Each provides uncanny view of the human being, thus making the interesting elements of all these books.
